Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, FAS, serves as Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Nigeria. An internationally acclaimed pharmaceutical scientist, academic, and regulator, she has led transformative reforms that have strengthened Nigeria’s public health system and elevated pharmaceutical regulation to global standards.

Under her leadership, NAFDAC has intensified the fight against counterfeit and substandard medicines, modernised regulatory processes through digital innovation, enhanced laboratory infrastructure, and reinforced consumer protection across the pharmaceutical, food, and healthcare sectors. Her efforts have significantly improved regulatory efficiency, increased public confidence, and strengthened Nigeria’s position within the global regulatory community.
In recognition of her exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to safeguarding public health, and outstanding contributions to scientific excellence and regulatory innovation in Africa, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye is honoured with the Special African Leadership Commendation Award at the 16th African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA) 2026.
