Ghana Consulate General in New York has recently began the installation of a new passport machine, as part of measures to bring its services closer to the door steps of the people.
Mr. Bernard K. Quantson, Consul General of Ghana announced this at the Blessed Bible Tabernacle Church, during a service at which Rev. Apostle Dr. Alexander Adu Gyamfi was elected a Bishop.
“In the coming days we shall start new things at the Mission. After the installation, we shall start the printing of passports here. Everything is going to be digital, to be in tune with the times. Within the constraints of your working schedule, we shall be working with you. We shall introduce you to a new on-line passport application process. This time, it will be faster and fully interactive. This will give you answers to your basic questions”, he said.
In addition, the Consul General indicated that a fully fledged customer service is to be introduced, “an express service where you will get progress report of the processing in a transparent manner”.
Preaching the sermon earlier, the bishop- elect noted that lack of success in life very often stems from the lack of teamwork, which results in the collapse of marriages, churches and creates bad attitude with one another, he explained. To buttress his point, Rev Adu Gyamfi said “individually, you are like a drop in the ocean, but together we are like an ocean”.
As part of the programme, newly elected executives of the church were sworn in, whilst certificates of merit and an award were presented to some members and the out-going executives.
Present at the service were bishops from other churches, Mr. Philbert Johnson, Deputy Ambassador and Mr. R. Harry Reynolds, Head of Information, both of the Ghana Mission.
